Southwest of Omaha, Nebraska, the city of La Vista can be found. One of the youngest and more thriving communities in the state of Nebraska, La Vista was incorporated in 1960. The city was founded after the creation of 335 housing units. These housing units received the name ‘La Vista’ (Spanish, “the view”) because of their view of the Big Papio Creek Basin.
