Garrett grew up an “Army Brat” PCSing/moving from coast to coast and abroad throughout his childhood, eventually landing back in the Omaha Metro area where both of his parents grew up.

As Garrett watched his mother’s passion and success grow in real estate, he found himself becoming drawn to the many moving pieces associated with the industry.  His previous jobs were relationship and customer-service based, beginning with his first job at Kid’s Club working his way up to a director’s position throughout his high school years.  Next, he worked at QLI (Quality Living Inc. – a non-profit for brain and spinal injury patients) for several years starting out as a CNA, moving up to a Service Coordinator position at their sister company, Telerehabilation.  But a brief position at a local company installing high-end AV equipment is what ultimately changed his perspective on homeownership.  The revelation that anyone could customize and create their own personal sanctuary made him realize he wanted to become part of the process of helping others experience the freedom and right of owning their own home.

As fate would have it, around that time, he accepted a position as a Transaction Coordinator at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, hence affirming he’d discovered his destined career path.  Soon after, he decided to also get his real estate license and join his mom and her team, “The Husker Home Finders”, affording him the ability to intertwine the best of both worlds and enjoy all aspects of being fully immersed within the industry.

Garrett’s conversational personality and great listening skills allow him to really get to know his clients and help tailor their experiences to fit their unique needs and life styles.  He likes being the go-to person; someone with a level head that others trust and rely on for honest, factual information.  His natural ability to put himself in other people’s shoes allows him to not only easily connect with his clients but also guide them through what can sometimes feel like an overwhelming process.  He’s able to empathize and understand where someone’s coming from, so he can aid in breaking down concerns, and help his clients solve problems in their own way with guidance, professionalism and relatable experiences of his own.

When asked what his trademark attributes were, Garrett joked, “I’ve been told I have a really nice beard!” Outside of real estate you’ll likely find Garrett attending local concerts and shows; or doing something athletic such as: working out at the gym, training for/running in races, snowboarding/skiing, hiking/biking, hunting, fishing or camping.  He also enjoys traveling, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.  And his latest venture…he’s teaching himself to play the piano.
