Gary Sleddens

Gary’s last name may sound familiar since he is married to an “original” Husker Home Finder Team Agent, Lisa Sleddens. Gary has been “soaking in” valuable behind the scenes information and training, without even realizing it, for almost 10 years, from one of the best! Watching Lisa help her clients through the home buying and selling process and seeing the joy that came to both the clients and Lisa made him want to be a part of that experience.

Gary has joined the Husker Home Finder Team after serving over 20 years in the Air Force and 10 years in Human Resources. His Military background included many moves, and while his general experience was a good one, he never really felt he had a handle on everything going on during the process. He would’ve liked to be more informed throughout the transaction, and that’s what he intends to do for his clients.

Gary knows that a home purchase will likely be the largest purchase a Buyer will make in their life, and his goal is to help his clients understand each aspect of the process and focus on what is necessary in order for them to be able to find the right home. He understands everyone’s different and it’s important to support each client in the way that suits him/her as an individual. Some Buyers are more concerned about narrowing down a search, while another Buyer may be more stressed about negotiations. He believes focusing on the individual’s needs are the key to a happy client, and on a personal level his satisfaction is the joy of handing the keys to someone who just achieved their goal of home ownership.

Hobbies and other interests are important to Gary because he believes you only have “so many days on this earth” and therefore feels obligated to make the most of them. Family is very important to him, so outside of work you will find him golfing with Lisa o r his brothers, sisters and their husbands during the warm months. When it cools down, they move the party inside and use any excuse to get together. When he’s not spending time with the expanded family and friends, he enjoys golfing, taking their dogs for a walk, a cruise around the lake or traveling/camping and finding new places to discover.
