Meet Angela May's Husker Home Finder Team

With a focus on customer service as well as the strategic future vision, Angela leads our awesome Husker Home Finder Team. Her philosophy is grounded in developing what she hopes will be long-term relationships with each of her clients, and she lays the foundation by learning everything she can about every person she helps.

As a Military Spouse, she has a keen understanding of all of the issues involved with buying and selling a home. She knows the transaction is just a small part, so she and her team work hard to help clients get adjusted to the area, find the services they need (doctors, churches, schools, etc.), and answer any question they have throughout the process.

Not only does Angela manage her team, she is also an Exclusive Seller Representative, so she is laser-focused on helping people who are moving either by choice or by necessity to get their home sold quickly and at a fair price.

With an unmatched array of sales and marketing tools, combined with tremendous insight that comes from moving as often as she has, Angela works tirelessly to make every transition go as smoothly as possible. Her training and expertise ensure that she’s going to tell it to you straight, but her huge smile and great sense of humor make things easy. Though she’s a successful win-win negotiator, when the smoke clears it’s obvious she has fought hard for her sellers to ensure they get the best possible outcome.

As much as she loves being a REALTOR®, nothing makes her happier than hanging out with “her boys.” She is so proud of her husband’s successful military career, and her two teenage sons who keep her busy with sporting events and never cease to amaze her. Rounding out the group are the totally huggable Husker, the family’s smiling yellow lab, and his young sidekick, “Herbie” who is also a yellow lab. Her favorite weekends include; watching her son play football and lacrosse, laughing with local family and friends, shopping, traveling, or volunteering on the base or in the community when time permits.

At the end of the day, Angela counts her many blessings: an incredible family, a terrific team, and a passion for helping others achieve their dreams.

Following more than 20 years in the Air Force, no one understands the challenges home buyers face better than Lisa. After moving her family more than a dozen times, she’s faced nearly every conceivable obstacle and learned all of the strategies to achieve maximum results with the least amount of stress!

In 2005, Lisa retired from the Air Force to pursue her real estate license, and joined the Husker Home Finders team in 2007 as an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent. Her background in Protocol in the Air Force – hosting and assisting distinguished visitors to the base – has further developed her commitment to treat every one of her clients as the VIP they are. Therefore, when you work with Lisa, you have her undivided attention because she remains laser-focused on your quest for the perfect home.

While Lisa’s specialty is serving as “Sponsor to the Omaha area” for military members and their families, she loves working with all of her clients, relishing the moment that she can hand over the keys, knowing that she has negotiated the best possible deal for the home her clients love.

As a mom of two grown sons whom she loves to brag about, she loves sharing the bustling activity of her life with Gary, her best friend and husband of more than 24 years. When she’s not entertaining or spending time with family, she’s playing with Max, the newspaper-fetching Golden Retriever, and Molly, the Irish Jack Russell princess, and Mika, their energetic Boxer. She’s even resolved to take up golf, much to her husband’s delight!

As a fierce advocate for every one of her homebuyers, Lisa pays attention to every detail in her quest to get them settled into a home they love. Her over ten years in the real estate field give her the experience her clients can rely on, and her commitment to ensuring homebuyers are satisfied every step of the way keeps the process fun and stress-free.

People describe Lisa as a great communicator, someone who is easy to talk with and who provides honest feedback to keep her clients’ best interests as her top priority. She works hard to keep her homebuyers from feeling overwhelmed, and eases them through each phase of the buying process so there are no surprises. For those moving in from out of state, she goes out of her way to acclimate them to the area and help them transition to their new location.

Lisa says the best part of her job is when she succeeds at making every transaction as easy and stress free as possible so her clients can enjoy the experience.

When Lisa isn’t helping her clients, she loves spending time with her husband and young daughter, often camping or hiking or anything that allows them to have fun outdoors. When she gets the chance she loves horseback riding, swimming and rock climbing, and their favorite vacation spot is Colorado. Lisa says that while she and her husband enjoy a busy social life, spending time with their families is what’s most important.

Lisa has been a licensed Realtor since 2005 and has spent her entire life as a resident in the Metro Area. She has experienced living in many different neighborhoods and has now resided in Sarpy County for over 20 years. Appreciation for the Metro Area makes it easy for her to help her local clients, as well as military and out-of-town buyers who aren’t familiar with the Offutt/Omaha area. She especially enjoys acting as a “tour guide” for her clients by pointing out the many great local attractions on their way to each of the homes they view.

Like the rest of the Husker Home Finder team, Lisa is motivated by an overwhelming desire to help, and says the relationships she develops with her clients stay with her long after the sale is complete. She’s super-organized and values communication. She knows that being available for her clients is one of the best ways she can minimize any stress involved in the home-buying process. Lisa also understands that her clients depend on her for the best information and advice, so she pays attention to every detail on a home tour, pointing out both the advantages and the flaws.

Bubbling with energy and ideas, Lisa loves the hunt for the perfect home and believes strongly that no one should ever be pressured into making a decision. Each of her clients is working with a different timeline and a different level of experience, so she adapts not only her schedule but her approach to ensure every one of her clients feel entirely comfortable with the process.

When Lisa’s not popping in and out of houses (because she’s always dying to see the insides!) she’s hanging out enjoying time with her husband Cary, teenagers Matt, Ally, and Maggie and their two mini dachshunds Maisy & Riley. She’s a true Nebraska girl who loves the four different seasons, spending time outside enjoying nature with the birds and squirrels that visit her array of feeders. If you’re lucky, she’ll invite you to dinner, as cooking is one of her many passions.

Missi is the true core of the Husker Home Finder team, the one who effortlessly manages all of the details that empower the team to deliver the top quality service they are so proud of. From setting up inspections, coordinating schedules with outside agents, communicating with mortgage lenders, and keeping every client’s paperwork organized and up to date, her dedication to detail ensures that nothing falls through the cracks. Her many moves and background working in real estate and insurance give her the expertise and skill to manage multiple people and details with ease.

And somehow, she always finds time to handle any bump in the road with a smile and quickly get things back on track. She’s also very creative and constantly comes up with great ideas for clients and for the team. Whenever there’s brainstorming in the office (which is often!), Missi is the one able to bring everything back to a plan of action and bring the ideas to life.

Clients learn quickly that Missi is super friendly and easy to talk to, and that there isn’t much she hasn’t seen based on all of the transactions and processes she manages. When clients have questions, Missi can usually provide a quick answer, and what she doesn’t know, she has the knowledge and resources to find out then follow up. One thing is certain. When Missi says, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” everyone knows without a doubt that it’s done and a positive result is imminent!

As much as she loves her job, Missi and Nick can’t imagine anything better than hanging out with Gabby and Izzy, their young, adorable daughters. Just ask, and Missi will be happy to share the latest photos as well as great stories about their hilarious antics. She also feels blessed to be able to spend time with her large extended family, all who live in the Omaha area.

Nicole brings a fresh perspective to the Husker Home Finder team. With a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a background of administration and customer service, Nicole sees the big picture and is focused on ensuring client satisfaction. She’s already learned much about the real estate industry after serving in the Air Force, when numerous moves took her family through the process of buying and selling a home. Now that Nicole is part of the team, she combines her growing knowledge of the business with her life experiences to achieve a wonderful balance.

Nicole is focused making sure all of the Marketing on the team has that “wow” factor and is always current. She also enjoys researching upcoming trends and new ideas to be sure our team marketing is always providing maximum exposure for our clients. She says she tries to be very organized and professional, and anyone who has worked with her would agree that she is one of the most loyal people they’ve ever met. Nicole isn’t satisfied until she’s exceeded expectations.

One of Nicole’s favorite parts of her job is finding ways to overcome the challenges that sometimes come up. That’s when Nicole really shines, because no matter the issue, she seems to always be able to find a way to help her clients through it. She also loves hearing from clients after the process concludes about how happy they are in their new home and how easy the whole process seemed to them. Her commitment to customer service makes all the difference to those she helps.

Nicole and her husband, Brad, most love spending time with their young son Rylan. Also, since they have lived all over the world, they are thrilled to have settled in Nebraska, and enjoy exploring the area. Because their family is spread throughout the country, they take every opportunity they can get to travel to see them. They have both left the Air Force, though Brad works as a civilian firefighter for Offutt Air Force Base. Whenever Nebraska weather permits, they love camping and boating with their beautiful Golden Retrievers, Josey and Cuervo.
